If you have a celebration coming up, whether it be a birthday, anniversary or something else, Compass Bar makes for a fantastic venue when privately hired for groups of up to 60.  Please get in touch if you're thinking to arrange a celebration.  Details of costs are below. 

We're keen to support charity and local community events.  During our quiet season, where the venue is closed Sunday - Wednesday, we are always happy to consider offering the venue for free during these days. At any other time, then an event will be carefully considered.  Please email us if you're wanting to arrange a charitable or community event to see if we can help.   

With a good sized space for a small or medium sized business/group to use, our venue can be a great choice for a company training day, some teambuilding or just an excuse to get out of the building and away from distractions.

Hen parties are always welcome at Compass Bar.  Tables up to 10 can be booked online via our bookings page and larger groups can email us.  

We can offer exclusive use/private hire Sunday - Thursday with just a minimum spend to adhere to, or if wanting a Friday or Saturday then there is a hire charge (details further down).  

Hosting or coming to a regatta and need somewhere to spoil your teammates?  Then put your binoculars down, you need not look any further, Compass Bar is your final port of call (the clue is in our name ;).  Details of minimum spends or hire charges are below. 

It may sound crazy at first to have a kid's party in a bar, but... with our open space it can make for an ideal venue to have a kid's entertainer, play pass the parcel or even musical chairs.  Parents and carers can also enjoy a glass of something.  During the quieter season, when the venue is closed Sunday - Wednesday, we're happy to host a kid's party.  We'll even halve the minimum spend requirement when the birthday child is 10yrs or below.  

We are brilliant venue for your baby shower.  With this type of event typically being held on a Sunday, means hiring the entire venue with only a minimum spend to worry about (details further down) can be easily achieved with a large group of friends and family coming.  Drop us an email if interested. 

With guests typically coming from all over for the special day, we've seen a big increase for a pre wedding drinks rehearsal/reception.  At Compass we're happy to host this wonderful occasion for any couple.
